Admission Assessment

Applicants for KG 1, and KG 2: They are observed/assessed for school readiness through practical play sessions. Children must be toilet trained and have a level of independence before the start of school. 

Applicants for Year 1 & Year 2: Entrance assessments consist of basic writing, phonics and number work. The assessments normally take up to 30 minutes.

Applicants for Year 3 & Year 6: An assessment will be conducted in the school premises using an online assessment platform for reading and Mathematics. The assessment will take up to 50 minutes. If your child is successful a face-to-face reading level assessment may be conducted. This assessment takes 15 minutes.

Applicants for Year 7 & Year 10: An assessment will be conducted in the school premises using an online assessment platform for reading and Mathematics. The assessment will take up to 50 minutes.

Applicants for Year 11: Interviews are conducted with the Secondary School Principal and reports of subjects taken in other schools in Year 10 are evaluated; in such instances, the candidate might be required to sit for assessments in all option subjects opted for. 

Applicants for Year 12: The AS Level programme is an advanced course of study. Acceptance into this programme is dependent upon the student scoring a minimum of a “C” grade or higher in 5 subjects taken at the IGCSE (Year 11) level from an external accredited examination board(s).

Applicants for Year 13: Students applying for Year 13 must meet the following for admissions:

• Predicted grades of an E or higher in at least 3 AS Subjects
• Attendance above 80%
• Positive behaviour report from current school
• Willingness to serve in a leadership role

Please note that we usually do not admit students for entry to Year 12 & Year 13 if the student is coming from a different program, as this is at the midway point in a two-year examination syllabus IGCSE and AS Programmes.
