Under Ms Shazia’s guidance, Yr 9 learners performed a practical activity ” Thinking like a scientist,” calculating the density of regular and irregular objects. Learners found the mass of various objects by using a weighing scale and calculated the volume of irregular objects by using the displacement method. They learned how to measure accurate volumes of liquids using measuring cylinders and how to improve the accuracy of their results. Concluding the density unit, learners completed a summative assessment on density and density calculations.
