Lower Secondary Curriculum

In the Lower Secondary School, the Cambridge Lower Secondary programme is followed in Years 7 through to 9. English Modern School develops learners in the following Cambridge Lower Secondary subjects:

• English
• Mathematics
• Science
• Global Perspectives
• Art and Design
• Physical Education
• ICT
• Media Studies *based on the UK National Curriculum Standards
• French *based on the UK National Curriculum Standards
• Humanities *based on the UK National Curriculum Standards
• Digital Literacy *integrated across the curriculum

In addition to these, learners are also offered the following subjects which are sanctioned and approved by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education:

• Arabic Language
• Islamic Studies
• Qatar History
