Technology integration at EMS is centered around our belief that the education of students comprises academic, creative, physical, social and moral development. It must be broad, balanced, and integrated.
All classrooms are equipped with a projector and an interactive screen, and shared equipment is available for students. Android tablets are used with KG1 through Year 1 students. Chromebooks are available for all year 1 through 6 year groups. Students in the secondary school have access to laptops, and a Bring Your Own Technology program in Years 10-12 allows students to utilize a personal laptop or tablet.
Technology use includes access to school provided resources and subscriptions, but it also allows teachers to transform the teaching and learning in classrooms. Students develop 21st century skills such as communication and collaboration through the integration of technology. Character education lessons about responsible and balanced technology use are included, to reflect the changing needs of our students.
