Leadership Team

Mr. Jean Claude Chalouhi

Superintendent

I believe that an effective school leader’s role is to empower, inspire and motivate others. This type of leadership can promote the changes needed to prepare learners for their future achievements. Strong collaboration and trust between parents, students, teachers and leaders is the foundation to help learners achieve high academic standards and help them to become lifelong learners and active citizens.

I believe in being an effective leader by raising expectations for students, staff members and the entire school community based on a common vision which inspires and motivates all the stakeholders. This we can achieve by working in partnership with all and having an open and continuous communication to inform and support student learning.

I believe ensuring continuous professional growth for all by providing continuous professional development based on the best practices which focus on improving learning for every child ensuring that every child has the right to learn and grow and be successful by allowing professionals to work together in order to redesign and change as we work with individuals and make a difference.

Mr. Jaco Anderson

Secondary School Principal

My name is Jaco Anderson, the Secondary Principal at EMS Doha. I have worked in a variety of fields and held many positions of leadership; the last 18 years being in education.

I relocated to Qatar from South Africa in 2006, started working at EMS Doha in August 2008, and have never looked back. Most recently, I held the positions of Assistant Principal, Curriculum Coordinator and Examinations Officer (Cambridge and Edexcel).

Today’s students, teachers and families require more from their principals than merely being bossy managers giving orders from the seclusion of their offices. Communities need leaders who understand the direct impact leadership has on school culture. They want leaders who prioritise learning and who lead with the heart. And that is who I am.

Ms. Nandia Nel

I started teaching in 1994 in South Africa in the Natural Sciences and Computer Science and I relocated to London, UK in 2005 where I lived and worked for 12 years as a teacher and leader.  I came with my husband (also a teacher) to Qatar in 2017 and started working at EMS Doha as a Biology teacher and later as the HOD for TED in 2018.

I hold an MSc in Management of Technology. a NPQML in leadership and worked in London as a Network Coordinator for the North East Area schools as well as an examiner for various British exam boards.

I am passionate about teaching and learning and I believe that every student should have access to a tailored education that allows access to as many future pathways as possible.  To further that, I aim to continue networking with other educational and curriculum specialists to ensure that in EMS Doha our students’ instruction is of outstanding quality.
